Oklahoma St. Cowboys vs Kansas St. Wildcats Betting Picks & Predictions

Game time: November 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET

Venue: Bill Snyder Family Stadium — Manhattan, KS

Article updated Nov 1, 9:47 AM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

Oklahoma State will beat Kansas State 34-30 in our forecast, with Drew Mestemaker’s seven consecutive games of at least 300 passing yards and multiple touchdown passes providing the strongest reason. Kansas State’s recent series success keeps confidence low. Neither the supplied Oklahoma State -5.5 (-9,900) spread nor the 61.5-point total offers enough value for an official wager.

Oklahoma St. Cowboys vs Kansas St. Wildcats prediction and best bet

Oklahoma State gets the pick because its passing production extends beyond one explosive afternoon. Mestemaker’s seven-game streak supplies a stronger foundation for the forecast than the 49 points the Cowboys scored in their Oct. 31 loss at Iowa State alone. Caleb Hawkins also gave that offense a substantial rushing contribution, gaining 194 yards.

The best betting decision is Pass. Kansas State seeks its third consecutive victory over Oklahoma State, and last season’s 14-6 result favors the Wildcats. Our four-point projected margin puts Kansas State inside +5.5, but taking that side at -9,900 would require far more certainty than this matchup offers. The total also remains a separate Pass.

SportsJaw total: Over 61.5 (-116); Under 61.5 (-106). These are the prices evaluated in the recommendations below.

Oklahoma St. Cowboys outlook

Mestemaker completed 27 of 42 passes for 323 yards, five touchdowns and one interception against Iowa State on Oct. 31. Oklahoma State’s recap reported that he had reached at least 300 passing yards with multiple passing touchdowns in seven straight games. That sustained production is the central reason to expect another productive offensive outing.

Hawkins supplied balance with 25 carries for 194 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown, totaling 275 yards from scrimmage. Justin Bowick contributed seven receptions for 124 yards and two scores. Those performances suggest Kansas State will need answers for both the running game and multiple receiving threats.

The caution comes from the result: Oklahoma State lost 51-49 despite taking a 49-48 lead with 53 seconds remaining. The Associated Press reported that an unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty after the touchdown carried over to the ensuing kickoff. Iowa State then won on a 34-yard field goal as time expired.

Scoring was enough to put the Cowboys ahead, but it was insufficient to finish the game. The forecast credits their offensive consistency while leaving room for another close result.

Kansas St. Wildcats outlook

Kansas State has won the past two meetings and is pursuing a third consecutive victory over Oklahoma State. The Wildcats won 14-6 in Stillwater in 2025, showing that their recent success in the series includes a road victory. This meeting brings Oklahoma State to Manhattan.

Kansas State’s announcement also notes that the home team has won four of the past five meetings. That gives the Wildcats a favorable historical backdrop, although five games across different seasons are a limited guide to how this particular matchup will unfold. Home field helps frame the upset case; it is not enough by itself to outweigh Mestemaker’s current passing run.

The challenge for Kansas State is clear: make Oklahoma State work harder for points than Iowa State did. Hawkins’ contribution as both a runner and receiver means concentrating solely on the quarterback would leave another productive route for the Cowboys to attack.

The 2025 result deserves weight without becoming the entire forecast. Repeating that six-point defensive performance would require a substantial interruption of Oklahoma State’s recent offensive output. Kansas State remains a credible winner, but its series advantage supports caution more strongly than an outright pick here.

Key matchup factors

The key distinction is between sustained production and one-game extremes. Mestemaker’s seven-game passing streak gives the Cowboys an offensive foundation. The 100 combined points at Iowa State represent a single result, so projecting another game at that pace would be a much larger leap.

Execution matters alongside yardage. Oklahoma State’s late penalty preceded the deciding field goal, illustrating how a productive offense can still leave a narrow lead vulnerable. Kansas State’s recent series results strengthen the argument for keeping the projected margin modest. Together, those considerations favor a Cowboys win while discouraging confidence in either a comfortable road victory or a total driven mainly by last week’s score.

Oklahoma St. Cowboys vs Kansas St. Wildcats spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Oklahoma State -5.5 (-9,900) and Kansas State +5.5 (-9,900). The projected Oklahoma State victory by four points favors Kansas State against the number, but the price is the decisive obstacle.

At -9,900, a bettor risks $99 to win $1. A projected cover is nowhere near enough justification for accepting that return. Oklahoma State’s offensive case supports winning outright, while the Wildcats’ series success supplies a plausible close-game counterargument. Neither side merits the exceptionally strong conviction demanded by these supplied prices.

Oklahoma St. Cowboys vs Kansas St. Wildcats total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 61.5 (-116) and Under 61.5 (-106). Our 64-point projection sits 2.5 points above the line, giving the forecast an Over direction without making it an official bet.

Oklahoma State’s passing consistency and Hawkins’ dual contribution support a scoring case. Kansas State’s 14-6 victory last season points the other way, but that older result deserves limited influence on a current total. With little current Kansas State offensive evidence to anchor its scoring projection, the modest gap above 61.5 is too fragile to justify Over at -116.

Oklahoma St. Cowboys vs Kansas St. Wildcats Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Oklahoma State Cowboys 34, Kansas State Wildcats 30. Mestemaker’s sustained passing production earns Oklahoma State the nod, with Hawkins’ rushing and receiving performance adding support. This projects a productive Cowboys offense without expecting a repeat of the 49-point outing at Iowa State.

The strongest counterargument is Kansas State’s two consecutive series victories, including last year’s road win. Oklahoma State’s inability to protect its late lead last week adds another reason to keep confidence low. The forecast favors the Cowboys, the projected margin falls inside Kansas State +5.5, and the projected total exceeds 61.5. None of those directional judgments supplies a strong enough betting edge. Official wager: Pass.
