Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings Predictions

Game date: September 13, 2026

Packers at Vikings: Week 1 injury picture supports a closer look, but a pass

The matchup and market

The Green Bay Packers visit the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, September 13, to open their 2026 NFL season. Minnesota’s official preview lists kickoff at 3:25 p.m. CT.

Minnesota’s moneyline is -126, with Green Bay at +107. The spreads are Minnesota -1.5 (-110) and Green Bay +1.5 (-110). Both over and under 46.25 are priced at -110. Those prices make Minnesota the market favorite, but they do not establish that backing the Vikings offers value.

What the injury reports establish

Minnesota’s final injury report lists no player on its 53-man roster with a game-status injury designation. Its unofficial depth chart places Kyler Murray first at quarterback and lists Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings as starting receivers, with T.J. Hockenson at tight end.

Green Bay defensive tackle Warren Brinson is out with a calf injury. Guard Aaron Banks and tackle Zach Bako-Bewele are questionable with knee injuries, while linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper is questionable with an Achilles injury. Banks was limited throughout the practice week and described himself as a game-time decision.

Those reports establish uncertainty for Green Bay. They do not establish how many points that uncertainty should be worth or whether Minnesota’s moneyline compensates for the risk.

SportsJaw verdict: Pass

Minnesota won the most recent meeting 16-3 on January 4, 2026. Green Bay’s preview also notes that 15 of the past 23 regular-season meetings in Minnesota finished with single-digit margins. Neither fact provides a reliable scoring forecast for this opener.

The available information supports an availability comparison, but not a defensible win probability or projected score. There is also insufficient scoring evidence to favor either side of 46.25. SportsJaw’s call is Pass on the moneyline, spread and total.
