Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers Predictions October 11, 2026

Game time: October 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET

Venue: Lambeau Field — Green Bay, WI

Article updated Oct 4, 9:18 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Green Bay Packers will beat the Chicago Bears 24-21 in our forecast, with Watson and Golden’s early receiving production supplying the strongest reason to favor the hosts. Chicago’s productive rushing attack makes this a low-confidence pick. Neither Packers -2.5 (-110) nor the 45.5 total offers a strong enough edge for an actionable wager, so the official SportsJaw recommendation is Pass.

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers prediction and best bet

Green Bay gets the narrow winning pick because its early receiving production offers a credible route past a Chicago defense coming off two strong performances entering Week 4. Christian Watson and Matthew Golden give the Packers a persuasive passing-game case, even with Jayden Reed lost for the season.

Chicago has a substantial counterargument: a rushing attack that led the NFL through three weeks. That strength makes a close finish the forecast, with neither team holding a convincing betting advantage at the supplied spread.

The best bet is Pass. Picking Green Bay to win does not require laying 2.5 points, particularly when the projected margin is just three and Chicago’s quarterback availability for this matchup remains unsettled.

Odds, game time and how to watch

Game time: Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, at 1 p.m. ET, noon CT. The NFL moved this Week 5 matchup from 4:25 p.m. ET.

Venue: Lambeau Field. Broadcast: FOX.

Records: NFL.com reported Chicago at 2-1 and Green Bay at 1-2 on Sept. 29. Those are dated records, not updated standings for kickoff. This is the teams’ first meeting of the 2026 NFL season.

SportsJaw spread: Chicago Bears +2.5 (-110); Green Bay Packers -2.5 (-110).

SportsJaw moneyline: Chicago Bears +112; Green Bay Packers -134.

SportsJaw total: Over 45.5 (-104); Under 45.5 (-117).

Chicago Bears outlook

Chicago entered Week 4 ranked third in total offense at 408.0 yards per game and first in rushing at 184.3. Through Week 3, D’Andre Swift had 253 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 54 carries; Kyle Monangai contributed 178 yards and one touchdown on 30 carries. That production gives Chicago a promising foundation for staying competitive.

The passing game also had a productive outing in the Sept. 28 victory over Philadelphia. Case Keenum passed for 247 yards, accounted for three touchdowns and finished without a sack or turnover. Kalif Raymond had 19 receptions for 214 yards and a touchdown through Week 3.

Caleb Williams was ruled out for the Oct. 4 Jets game following his Week 2 hamstring injury. The Oct. 2 report had not identified whether Keenum or Tyson Bagent would start against New York. That ruling should not be extended into a confirmed absence against Green Bay.

Braxton Jones went on injured reserve Oct. 3. Theo Benedet had been identified as his replacement for the Jets game specifically. On defense, Kyler Gordon could first play Oct. 11 if Chicago activates him during his 21-day practice window; his participation is conditional.

Green Bay Packers outlook

Watson led Green Bay through three games with 17 catches, 284 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The Packers’ Oct. 2 report also placed both Watson and Golden among the NFL’s top 10 in receiving yards. Their production is the main football reason behind the Green Bay forecast.

Reed’s Week 2 neck injury requires season-ending surgery, leaving the Packers to adjust without him. Skyy Moore had 396 all-purpose yards through three games, although that figure should be kept separate from the receiving totals supporting Watson and Golden’s outlook.

Green Bay’s defensive personnel news cuts both ways. Edgerrin Cooper cleared concussion protocol and left the injury report Oct. 3, while defensive tackle Warren Brinson went on injured reserve that day. Against Chicago’s rushing strength, those developments matter without proving how the Packers will defend the run.

Key matchup factors

The central question is whether Chicago can make its ground game the deciding factor or Green Bay can generate enough through its receivers to force the Bears to answer through the air. Jones’ absence makes protection a concern, but Keenum’s Philadelphia performance shows that Chicago has already produced an efficient passing game without Williams.

Chicago held its previous two opponents to nine and seven points entering Week 4. Those results strengthen the Bears’ upset case, though they are a short stretch rather than a reliable prediction of Green Bay’s scoring.

The SportsJaw blended spread consensus favored Chicago +2.5 (-110) at 75% as of Oct. 4 at 13:14 UTC, up 25 percentage points from the Oct. 3 snapshot. That is consensus support, not a 75% chance of covering. The blended moneyline consensus was evenly split at 50%, so it supplied no outright majority.

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Green Bay Packers -2.5 (-110) and Chicago Bears +2.5 (-110). A 24-21 Packers forecast falls on Green Bay’s side of the spread, but only by half a point.

Chicago’s rushing production and recent defensive results make taking the points tempting. Green Bay’s receiving production keeps the outright forecast with the Packers. Neither argument is strong enough to justify a spread wager with Chicago’s quarterback status still an important uncertainty.

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 45.5 (-104) and Under 45.5 (-117). The projected 45 points lean slightly below the line, but that half-point difference is too fragile to justify paying -117 for the Under.

Chicago’s offensive yardage and Green Bay’s receiving output suggest scoring potential. The Bears’ recent defensive performances support a lower total, while quarterback uncertainty broadens the possible outcomes. Neither direction has a persuasive pricing edge.

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers projected score

Game forecast: Green Bay Packers 24, Chicago Bears 21. Watson and Golden’s production tips the prediction toward Green Bay at home. Chicago’s strong rushing start and recent defensive results are the clearest reasons the Bears could overturn that pick.

Confidence: Low. The forecast depends on a narrow matchup judgment, with meaningful uncertainty around Chicago’s quarterback situation. Both the spread and total are passes, and the single official SportsJaw betting lean is Pass.
